In Japanese steel bridge construction projects, multi-faceted approach methods have been gradually applied, including material-based reduction through environmentally conscious steel materials and fuel-based reduction using renewable energy and biofuels as measures during the construction stage. Additionally, longevity technologies are applied during construction to improve the durability of steel bridges, which is expected to reduce the number of repairs and reinforcements throughout the lifecycle, thereby contributing to environmental load reduction during the maintenance stage.
